ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the effects of Deming cycle on reducing adverse drug reactions (ADR) induced by injections of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).Methods The TCM injections which induced much more ADRs in 2013 were selected. The usage of these TCM injections and characteristics of the ADRs were analyzed. Strategies for controlling ADRs were developed according to Deming cycle and put into the recycle implementation in 2014. Results The ADRs induced by TCM injections were all reduced; the number of total cases was reduced by 41.3% compared to 2013, among which Tanshinone IIA Sulfonate injection,Xinmailong injection, Mylabris injection,Shenqi Fuzheng injection andShengmai injection were reduced significantly, and their reduction rates were all more than 50%. The clinical manifestations of ADRs, including rash, itching, chills, fever, phlebitis, chest distress and palpitation, were all reduced in 2014 compared to 2013, among which especially the allergic reactions, including phlebitis, rash and itching, were reduced by 14.9% and 13.4%.Conclusion Application of Deming cycle in the practice of TCM injections for clinical rational medication can effectively reduce the occurrence of ADRs and better ensure the safety of clinical use of TCM injections.

ABSTRACT

Objective To know the usage situation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) injections; To improve the level of rational administration of TCM injections. Methods Totally 2686 medical records of inpatients from Aug. 2012 were randomly selected. Patient genders, ages, medication types, dosage and solvent, etc. were analyzed respectively. Results There are 38 varieties of traditional Chinese medicine injections in this survey. There are 22 varieties of traditional Chinese medicine injections involving the unreasonable usage in solvent, a total of 453 times. The total qualified rate was 80.59%. There are 9 varieties of traditional Chinese medicine injections involving the unreasonable dosage. The total qualified rate was 88.77%.Conclusion In order to guarantee the medication safety, the reasonable usage of TCM injections should be strengthened in the clinic, which can be realized by reading package inserts carefully, prescribing through syndrome differentiation.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To discuss the application of pharmacoeconomics in "Treating Preventable Diseases" in traditional Chinese medicine. METHODS:Based on the brief introduction of pharmacoeconomics and the theory of "Treating Preventable Diseases",and taking preventing cerebral infarction by using drugs for invigorating blood circulation and eliminating stasis as example to analyze the feasibility and significance of pharmacoeconomics in the study of "Treating Preventable Diseases". RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:The application of pharmacoeconomics in evaluating the theory of "Treating Preventable Diseases" will establish an objective evaluation system of Traditional Chinese Medicine and guide the rational use of drugs in clinic.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the curative effect of Rougan Granules on rats hepatocirrhosis induced by carbon tetra- chloride(CCl_4)with 10 % alcohol and high fat feed.Method The rat model was established by gastric garage of CCh (CCl_4:salad oil=1:1)1 mL/kg twice a week for two weeks, and with 10 % alcohol as drinking water, high fat feed as food. After administration of CCl_4,the rats were divided into 5 groups:the model group,high-,medium-and low-dosage of Rougan Granules groups, the eolchicine group. And normal control group was also set up.After adminis- tration for 6 weeks, hyaluronic acid, typeⅣcollagen and typeⅢprecollagen in serum were measured and liver histopathol- ogy examination was done.Result The contents of hyaluronic acid, typeⅣcollagen and typeⅢprecollagen in model rats were increased significantly, while Rougan Granules could decrease those increase significantly.Liver histopathology exami- nation showed medium or high fatty degeneration of hepatic cell, obvious hyperplasia of fibrous tissue with fibrous distance broaden and pseudolobuli formed in model group, but in Rougan Granules group the general pathological changes of liver were less. Conclusion Rougan Granules have an effect of experimental anti-hepatocirrhosis in rats.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the preventive and therapeutic effect of Chinese herbal medicine film µwave irradiation on mammary hyperplasia in rats. Methods Rat models of experimental mammary hyperplasia were established by intramuscular injection of estrogen and a small quantity of progestin. Two weeks after modeling, the rats were treated with Chinese herbal medicine film µwave irradiation. Before and after the treatment, mammary diameter of the second nipples were measured, serum concentrations of estrogen (E2), progesterone (P) and prolactin (PRL) were determined by radioimmunoassay, pathological changes of mammary hyperplasia were examined under microscope, and the rate of mammary hyperplasia was measured. Results Chinese herbal medicine film markedly inhibited experimental mammary hyperplasia in rats, and the rate of mammary hyperplasia were 23.4 %in medicine film group and 20.9 %in medicine film µwave irradiation group respectively. Medicine film regulated the concentrations of estrogen and progestin, reduced the level of PRL and alleviated the pathological severity of mammary hyperplasia obviously. Conclusion Chinese herbal medicine film µwave irradiation have certain preventive and therapeutic effect on mammary hyperplasia in rats.
